The Global Neighborhood

The Global Neighborhood features a marketplace, a fresh salad and grain bowl restaurant, a local southern-inspired biscuit shop, a flatbread restaurant, and a tea and pastry shop.

- Lakeside Dining Hall features cuisines from all over the globe at its unique World and Street food stations. It features an extensive salad bar that uses campus-grown hydroponic lettuce, cereal, vegan and vegetarian options, hot and cold beverages, and fresh desserts.

- Biscuitville offers classic southern food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Popular dishes include breakfast or chicken sandwiches served on in-house-made made biscuits. This company was created by Elon University alumni! We are the only campus in the nation with our own on-campus Biscuitville.

- Freshii offers students fresh, healthy options for lunch and dinner. The menu is filled with healthy wraps, salads, bowls, soups, and burritos.

- Flat-Out serves freshly made personal flatbreads with a focus on local ingredients. Flat-Out is open until 1 a.m., making it a sensible late-night option!-

- Steepd Tea Bar serves freshly brewed, locally sourced tea, decadent house-made pastries, acai bowls, fresh sandwiches, poke bowls, and hummus. We are thrilled to source all our tea locally from one of our newest partners, Chad’s Chai in Winston-Salem.

Hi everyone, I'm Miracle Smythe and I'm a rising junior here at Elon, and I'll be showing you around Lakeside Station in the Global neighborhood.

Taking a page out of the Cubans cookbook, Lakeside, we'll be introducing our Italian kitchen, featuring several great Italian flavors, pizza and now using our hearth oven, which means we're getting a lot of great fresh bread. No need to worry. Lakeside will still have our world section with international cuisine from all over the globe. They will also have international street food as well with homemade tortillas and salsas. Right where it's always been, Lakeside will still have True Balance, a station that eliminates the top eight most common allergens in our ingredients. We will still be continuing our toast bar a way for students to try different toasts, including avocado toast, honey toast and so many more. In all three of our dining halls we have a feedback board, a conversation wall where students can interact with our dining staff and tell them what they would like to see on our plates.

Welcome to winter garden, everyone's favorite retail area on campus. Well at least my favorite. We have Flat Out, which has flatbread pizzas, which you can create yourself, or you can order specialty flat breads. My favorite was always the cheeseburger flatbread, don't judge me, it was really good. Then we also have Freshii, they have soups, salads, rice bowls and burrito bowls that students can choose from as well as fro yo. And then everyone's favorite, Biscuitville. We're the only university with a Biscuitville on campus. If you don't know what Biscuitville is, well, let's just say it's Southern food and in a fast food chain.

Although we're saying farewell to Argo Tea, will be saying hello to Steve's Tea bar, a tea and eats concept right on Elon's campus in global commons. Along with the teas that are cultivated by our local partners, Chad's Chai in Winston Salem. Our chefs will be making pastries and croissants and acai bowls for us in the morning, as well as poke bowls, and sandwiches in the afternoon. Our bites and shareables will also include tea sandwiches and hummus platters for you to share with your friends. Thank you all so much for watching. Hope to see you soon and stay tuned.
