Everyone, welcome to Elon! I'll help you around, looking at the wonderful McEwen Dining Hall that we're in right now. To introduce myself, My name is Hugh, I'll be helping you today. I'm majoring in Political Science and minor Criminal Justice. I'm a rising Junior from Queens, New York.
Behind me are some of the examples of the different stations that we'll have here McEwen, being the Burger Joint, which is a relatively new addition and also the Chicken Shack, which is my personal favorite. They make fried chicken-- regular just chicken nuggets all the time. I came down to the south for some good chicken and they definitely have it here.
Right now, we're in front of Elon's pride and joy are made to order pasta bar line. It's my personal favorite spot on campus. Come by here and get any type of pasta you would like. There's a bunch of different toppings. You can also add a bunch of different sauces that rotate whenever you would like at any point. A little fun fact you can add different sauces on top of one another. It's one of my favorite things. My favorite spots on campus. The guy who runs the pasta bar line is an absolute amazing human being. I love spending some time with him and getting amazing pasta too.
Over here will be your major order salad bar, you can get any type of salad you could possibly want. In addition to some of the pre-existing meals you'll probably get, or meal on its own, my personal favorite is going to be the iceberg lettuce balsamic vinegar, extra olives. It's a perfect order.
If It couldn't get any better, We have our own hydroponic lettuce here that we grow on campus. We use for salads as well as sandwiches, or any other other toppings, for any-- once again-- those rotating meals here at McEwen.
There's gonna be some new additions to McEwen this year, which every student is really excited for. We're so excited for you to see some of these new additions. One of them is going to be fresh fish from the east coast of North Carolina. We'll have an on campus that'll be once again one of those rotating locations. We also have fresh barbecue made with local North Carolina ingredients and our chefs are experts when it comes to barbecue. Make sure that we're clicking in exactly how it should be. Behind me, we're adding a new coffee station. We'll have coffee, espresso at any point throughout the day when you need that extra little fix of energy, we got you here. So excited for these new stations. Once again so excited for you to see them. We also have Acorn Coffee, which is just in Downtown Elon. You can go down there pick up a coffee. One of the new additions we're going to add is a grilled cheese station as well as just a melt station. So you can fulfill whatever grilled cheese or melt desire that you have.
So an upstairs in McEwen, we hold two of those 15 retail locations that you have access to throughout your four years here at Elon. Peiwei is going to be really awesome. Similar to probably your Peiwei back home, amazing Asian cuisine, and right next door will help Village Juice Co., everything juices to salads, some avocado toast-- avocado toast, personal favorite of mine.
